With many hosts only providing a single mailserver (MX) record for the domains that they host, can mean in the event of that server going offline; be that for planned maintenance, network failures or actual server/service failure; that potentially emails sent to you could be bounced back to the sender as undeliverable.

With more and more moving to local operated Exchange servers to manage the receipt of emails, the need for resiliant backup MX servers has never been more needed to cover failures of the ISPs connection to the Internet or just to cover power failures - How many times have you had Internet connection issues or power failures in the last year?

The backup MX service provided by 4SureHosting gives you 2 separate MX servers, located in different data centres, using separate network pathways and backbone connections, providing full redundancy across the service at all times, 24/7. In the event that your main mailserver is offline, mail will be directed into one or more of our backup MX servers, where it will be retained for up to 4 days waiting for your main mailserver to come back online, at which point delivery onto your mailserver of all emails awaiting your receipt is automatically conducted. The service is in effect a redundant standby service incase you have issues with your only mailserver, with optional service usage levels based on approximate monthly email totals and is not based on data transfer levels per month, as you may not need the service for 3 months and then all of a sudden need it half a dozen times in 1 month, so it is based on estimated email totals per month, as opposed to a fixed data transfer level.
